The January Thaw

Now that's more like it! A heatwave! Get out there people!

Lets start the weekend off with a little Mental Health. I walked into the Lumberyard Pub a few months ago and had the good fortune to discover this cool band.

Mental Health Band Live
Two Boots

Another great option is John Lamb and All-The-Above Band. I've known John for many years and he is a multi-talented and original talent. Go have a burger and check him out! Kenny Owen's will be playing and he's Jose Feliciano's bass player!! Rub elbows with the stars!

All-The-Above Live
The Black Duck Cafe
Westport, CT
Friday January 15, 9:30 pm

That was just a warm up to Saturday Night my people!

Again and always let me recommend Mystic Bowie. Is there anything more comforting than Reggae in January?

Mystic Bowie Live
Route 22
Stamford, CT
Saturday, January 16 9pm

I've been dying to see this band, Pimpinella! Not since we went to see Deep Banana Blackout every single weekend has there been a funk band to love!

Pimpinella Live
Rowley's Tavern
Norwalk, CT
Saturday, January 16 9:30pm

Here is something extra and extra special. A benefit for WPKN Radio at Pequot Library. There will be some very accomplished musicians there including Mark Naftalin, formerly with Paul Butterfield Blues Band on keyboards and the one, the only Chance Browne on guitar. On drums, Barry Urich along with a few other great players.

Put on your dancin shoes people!!

Peace,
